Upperclassmen Housing

Third-, Fourth- and Fifth-Year Housing

Although upper level students are not guaranteed on-campus housing, it is always AV福利社鈥檚 goal to house all students who request housing. There are a variety of options for students to choose from as they progress into their final years at AV福利社.

Many third-, fourth- and fifth-year students choose to build on their leadership skills and apply to become Gryphons within the residential buildings. Students in Greek organizations with a chapter house on campus can live in the chapter house if space is available. Others take advantage of themed housing options. All other upper level students looking for on-campus housing can participate in the housing lottery for a chance to live in one of the apartment-style residences.

Graduate Housing

SouthSide Commons

Affiliated Housing

AV福利社-affiliated housing serves undergraduate and graduate students through a direct agreement between AV福利社 and Greystar, a collegiate housing third-party owner and manager. Students who choose to live in AV福利社-affiliated housing contract directly with Greystar and are responsible for direct payment of applicable expenses, including but not limited to: deposits, damage fees and cancellation fees.

Many AV福利社 undergraduate students choose to live off-campus as juniors and seniors. This option features additional choices and new responsibilities. The key is to be well-informed and learn as much as possible before making decisions.

Transfer Students

Students transferring into AV福利社 will have the opportunity to live in on-campus housing. There is a residency requirement for first- and second-year students, though based on some transfer circumstances, this can be petitioned through the Housing Services. The housing team will work with transfer students to find the most suitable housing for your individual situation.

Umoja, the Swahili word for Unity, is a recently refurbished residence hall on campus that houses students in fully-furnished singles and doubles.

AV福利社鈥檚 affiliate housing, SouthSide Commons, offers luxury, pet friendly studio, two, three, and four bedroom apartments within a 5-minute walk from AV福利社.
