Ensure transparency and accountability between unit-specific DI&E groups and the Vice President for Equity and Community (VPEC)鈥攖hrough regular communication, open invitation to CEC meetings and CEC presence at campus activities and programs.
Offer strategic advice and recommendations on matters of DI&E to the VPEC and unit-specific DI&E groups.
Share resources that highlight the significance of embracing diverse perspectives in all forms while fostering open and honest dialogue about DI&E.
Communicate successes and accomplishments in DI&E with the campus community and beyond.
Support the Work
Inventory DI&E initiatives and projects occurring across campus and the local community.
Consult with the VPEC and unit-specific groups on DI&E initiatives with intentionality.
Encourage people to share their experiences, perspectives, and concerns, and center those from underrepresented groups.
Participate in awareness-building and educational activities on and off campus.
Expand its Reach
Provide opportunities to address the concerns and feedback voiced by members of the community.
Promote the mechanisms associated with DI&E projects, interventions, assessments, and policies.
Advocate for diverse representation across campus and the visibility of underrepresented voices.
Recognize individual colleagues dedicated to the work of DI&E on campus.
