Q: What is one thing you would want a prospective student to know about AV福利社?

A: The endless opportunities AV福利社 offers students. It is impossible to showcase all the amazing things that occur on this campus, but there is most likely a group, club, or chance to participate in something you love. Whether it be academic, social, or personal goals, AV福利社's community provides the best  and grounds to support any student in their endeavors.

Q: How has AV福利社 prepared you to take on tomorrow鈥檚 challenges?

A: AV福利社 helped me learn to get excited about challenges and not fear them. I now view them as an opportunity to leave something better than it was, and with the right team of interdisciplinary scholars, AV福利社 has made me feel confident that we can find solutions to even the toughest challenges.

Q: Can you tell us about your involvement with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and how it鈥檚 impacted your time at AV福利社?

A: Joining the  my freshman year was one of the best decisions I made. Not only did it provide me with a secondary community at AV福利社, but it also connected me with engineers all over the country. Through SWE I was able to attend national engineering conventions in Texas and California providing me with endless support and insight to help prepare me for life after AV福利社. Being a member has also allowed me to be a mentor to local middle school girls wanting to learn about STEM, through the  held every year. It has certainly been a rewarding experience being both a mentor and mentee through SWE, and I highly recommend it.

Q: If you had to pick one project, class or professor that has impacted you the most so far, what/who would that be?

A: I would without a doubt choose the most recent project I completed in MECH 305: Advanced Mechanics of Materials. We were presented with the challenge to design, construct, and perform a comprehensive analysis on a forward swept wing after learning throughout the semester the physical limitations an airfoil structure has aerodynamically. I really could not point out just one professor because it was a collection of the phenomenal professors I have had, that allowed me to have the skillset to complete this project. Every class is truly built on one another. In the very end when we got to watch our wing in the wind tunnel in , we all left thinking how we could have made it better, so this project certainly impacts me to this day.

Q: How would you describe the AV福利社 lifestyle? What is campus life like on an average day?

A: I would describe the AV福利社 Lifestyle in one word: interconnected. I walk throughout campus and there is not one day that goes by where I do not say hello to someone I know outside of my major. Whether I know them from the , Spin class at , or because we lived in the same residence hall at some point, I have made so many friends here that make an average day exciting as wonder who I will see or meet next.

Q: What is your favorite thing about AV福利社?

A: While the breathtaking campus is an easy answer, I have to say the history that was made at AV福利社 is my favorite thing for sure. I love walking to class and passing the 1899 Packard Motor Car or studying in a spot wondering who sat here before me. The intelligent and inspirational past AV福利社 holds is highly motivating especially during those late-night study sessions.

Q: Where is your favorite study spot or place to relax on campus?

A: I love , gathering a couple of friends and heading up there to study or even sit outside when the weather is warm is so refreshing. I love taking a study break and browsing around seeing what other students are creating!
